What RoomsInView is

• RoomsInView is an informational directory of residential care facilities for the elderly licensed by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). We list only licensed facilities.
• We do not provide medical, legal or financial advice. We don't endorse any facility or make placement decisions. Whether a home is right for your loved one is your decision, made with their doctor and the home's own pre-admission assessment.
• Prices, photos and open beds come from the homes themselves. License, capacity and inspection information comes from CDSS. We work to keep listings accurate but can't guarantee them. Always verify a facility's current license and inspection history with CDSS before signing an admission agreement.

Quotes

A RoomsInView quote is an itemized estimate built from the prices a home published for the care needs you described. Verified homes agree to honor their published prices for 14 days for the same care needs. A quote isn't an admission agreement: final terms are set in the home's written agreement after its own assessment. If a home asks for more than your quote, tell us using the report form on your quote.

Your responsibilities

• Only submit a care summary if you are the person's legal representative, hold power of attorney, or have their consent.
• Give accurate information and don't submit false reports about a home.
• Don't scrape, overload or misuse the site, or use it to contact homes for anything other than arranging care.

Care homes

Care homes that claim a listing also agree to the RoomsInView Partner Agreement, which covers accurate listings, honoring published prices, and our flat subscription. Homes never pay commissions or referral fees, and paying doesn't change a home's position in search results. See how we make money.

Reporting concerns about a home

If you suspect abuse, neglect or unlicensed care, contact CDSS Community Care Licensing or your local Long-Term Care Ombudsman. You can also report it to us; we pass genuine safety concerns to the state.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, RoomsInView is provided “as is.” We aren't responsible for the care a facility provides or for decisions made using information on the site. Our total liability to you is limited to $100.
